I've been married 16 years, after 5 years of dating (for those who don't want to add, that's 21 years altogether), and I think we stopped giving each other gifts in year 3 or 4. Once you share everything, the idea of a gift is non-sequitur. On the other hand, while sharing everything just so happened to have worked for us, it's not really universal advice and many (most?) relationships will last longer and be stronger with some separation.

Google says that's a "Hostage Rescue Team" knife. I don't know what kind of trouble Ric is in, but FYI when the time comes I think you're supposed to distract his captors with a falcon while you sneak up and stab them. Hope that helps.
