How to Brace Yourself for the Coming Future
🕑 Added 2022-09-19 08:01:01 +0000 UTCIn the time since I stopped the comic and I restarted the comic, I have procured an actual They Might Be Giants Flood-Logo shirt. I didn’t really have one back in the day. The one I have now is probably printed on better material than it would have been then. It is definitely larger than it would have been in the 90s. I choose to see that as a good thing. I am a man of greater magnitude, and thus I require more shirt.
When I was a teenager, I made a lot of musical choices that seemed suspect. I understand now that I like music that has at least a little bit of a sense of humor. In the 90s, that was not hard to find. In the 80s, for every gem I found, like Thomas Dolby: Aliens Ate My Buick, there’d be something like Buster Poindexter, or Bruce Willis: The Return of Bruno. My music collection was a confusing place.
I still love They Might Be Giants. The band is very much a going concern, despite the fact that one of the two guys named John that makes up the creative core of the group got T-Boned by a drunk driver a couple of months back. For those unfamiliar with the band, or just unaware of their more recent work, here are three of my favorite later TMBG songs, and a nice, somewhat outdated documentary about the band that was recently upscaled and made available on YouTube.

Same way they treat adults!

I've only seen them three or four times, but they're always worth it!

I love TMBG's kids' music. It treats kids like kids, but not like idiots.
