How to Make Fun of a Show You Like
🕑 Added 2022-07-18 08:01:02 +0000 UTCHalf of the real Ric and my conversations consist of us picking apart things we both claim to enjoy. It's good we have each other to vent this stuff at. I'm sure Missy's happy to have someone else share the load, and not many people appreciate that particular type of fandom.
Ric tells me that the staff members at his local comics shop don't seem as happy to see him as they once were. They were talking one day about the film, The Batman. Ric shared his opinion, that it is basically the Batman story reframed as a police procedural set in Cleavland.
It seems they didn't want to hear that.

Agreed, and I'm surprised how well they handled it.

You may intend the monologue in Panel 1 as a joke, but I find that the fact that it's a foregone conclusion that Obi-Wan, Vader, Leia and Luke all survive to be in A New Hope is the single biggest issue the series had to face.

I hope they do and keep all the same writers and crew. It's the best show I've seen in years.
