Well… patrons… this has been my hardest edit I’ve ever done!
🕑 Added 2023-02-11 21:07:12 +0000 UTCOk! I promise this isn’t another generic Rolex bubble burst video! 😂🙈 I PROMMMMIISSEEE!!! In this video I wanted to have a bit of fun with this topic end ultimately make fun of myself! 🙈 I hope it all communicates well! This is the reason I have been so MIA this week (I’m so sorry!!!) it was hands down my most ambitious edit. I found it so diffficult! And it took up most of my free time this week!
Now! I’m not super creative nor did I invent making videos like this! This was super inspired by Johnny Harris doing similar videos about Crypto and Peter McKinnon doing similar multi person videos! So give me no credit for the genre! ^_^ but it was a LOT OF WORK! 😂 I don’t think I’ll be doing another video like this.
Anyways! I’d love to know what you guys think to this. Your honest thought please! Don’t ever feel like you need to flatter me!

What an awesome video, I can only imagine the hours of editing you put into it! It’s a topic I think is near and dear to all of us. I recently went into my local Rolex AD and was chatting with a new associate about my place on the waiting list for a Sky-Dweller…. the associate immediately led into a conversation about how much it’s worth in the grey market and how the AD tracks flippers. I just remember thinking how cheap and tacky the whole conversation was. So sad that buying a Rolex has descended into all of this. Some parallels can be drawn with the price of red wine, particularly Bordeaux. Speculation has driven wine enthusiasts away from collecting as it’s become completely price prohibitive. There are now even funds you can buy that speculate with bottles of fine wine. Let’s hope this never comes to the watch world!

Gringa! Awesome video. Absolutely had me laughing my ass off. Only way this video could have been better would have been if editing (and slightly drunk) Britt came out at the end and kicked everyone out. Anyway, great topic and nailed covering the controversy over this market. IMO the over riding factor in all these "watches as an asset" conversations and how we define asset. If you get a watch for enjoyment, and maybe able to see it for a profit later. You will define it different than someone whose reason for being into watches is as an income stream. Long Live the Maison!
