It’s one of those annoying colds where like… you’re not sick enough to not work. But also… you’re not getting better because you keep working! 😂🙈 I still need to film tomorrow’s video. (Last minute I know haha)
I don’t want to miss a Sunday upload! 💕 but tomorrow’s video isn’t going to be a watch review or anything too high research. I just want to talk about, how, as of late… I kinda got “too into watches”. I got taken TOO FAR DOWN the watch hobby rabbit holes. 😂🙈 and you know, I’ve had to check myself a bit and remember “it’s only watches”!!! Watches are amazing! They are these fantastic analogue trinkets that honestly just fill me with wonder! But I’ve been reminded about the truly important things of life. Watches are great! But at the end of the day… they are just things! 💕 if you get to the point where you’re like… arguing about mm’s with a fooooking blogger 😂 it might be time to take a break from watch YouTube and go for a walk! 😜😂 I know I had to!
I’m also hyper aware we are going into a financially tough winter here in Britain. I don’t want to seem like Scrooge McDuck making videos titles “IS ROLEX OOOOOVERRATED?!” “THIS PATEK PHILIPPE ISNT THAT GREAT” Whilst my neighbours are like “we are freezing 🙃” hahaha. I feel so out of touch sometimes! BUT ALSO…… WATCHES MAKE ME HAPPY!!! They bring me soo much joy and an escape from life! I know I always sound like such a hippie, but i truly think this analogue technology that attempts to measure the 4th dimension, in the most beautiful package….. I think these little time measurers are just amazing! 💕 So I just wanted to say, if any of my following starts feeling the financial squeeze in these coming months, I’m not talking about watches to be a flex hype beast. 😂🙈 I just love talking about the watches that bring me joy & give me a bit of old fashioned escapism.

Hope you feel better Britt. I can completely relate to the nostalgia my time pieces bring. I currently have a nice little collection myself and also have some pieces from my father and grandfather. This year my oldest graduates college and contemplating on getting her a Tank to hopefully perpetuate my love for timepieces and introducing her to a passion I have had for many years.

Here's the thing about cold and flu viruses - you feel tired, and rest makes almost no difference - just wait it out, you'll be fine in a week or so. Alcohol, caffeine and streaming TV are great antidotes- feel better B.
