Into Cleo's eye (making of)
🕑 Added 2025-06-17 12:00:06 +0000 UTCI had to delve into some animations from a year ago (!) for an episode of the Patreon-affiliated podcast "Digital Spaghetti" (coming out later this month I believe!) ... and so I decided to record a brief behind-the-scenes video.
I detail the frankly gratuitous steps I took in After Effects to try and make a flat shot of Cleo Abram look as three dimensional as possible for the opening of our episode on dog vision.

Was it unnecessary? Maybe. But I do remeber that this was one of the shots that made me go "whoa, this is way higher production value, than what I'm used to on YouTube". I remember wondering how it was done back then, and I genuinely assumed that you either filmed in person or Cleo had someone there to do the camera pan. You really came out swinging with that video!

My favorite part is the little neuron mask and the transition to the rainbow! The sound design too on that section was chefs kiss!
