I love this. Just the other day, i came in to work and all the other server was oncall bc the shift was usually slow. That day it was unexpectedly busy but the customer was easy, mostly regulars, knows what they want, no question ask. I didn’t realize it until midway through the shift i noticed my section was full. I didn’t even break a sweat. But on the other hand, some day i come in and first thing in the morning the manager yell at us about some bs that nobody care about and that whole shift i can get my head to focus on a single thing, keep forgetting stuff, getting annoyed by every table coming in, doesn’t even care if i don’t make money i just wanna fk it and go home.

Sometimes I think im in the zone and then the kitchen gets so mad at me for "fking up all night" it throws me out of the zone ;( I just get too casual and confident when im in the zone
