DISTRESSED DAMSELS: WORK STAGES on another CONVENTIONLESS CON SKETCH featuring EMPOWERED & MINI-MAIDMAN(?)!
🕑 Added 2024-09-30 13:00:23 +0000 UTCWellp, one of my remaining art requests from the $20 tier featured the quite frankly unreasonable suggestion of "Empowered's Maidman rescuing the girls (presumably Emp & Ninjette) from the Pint-Size(d) NInja Platoon," who have menaced Rose & Lily on many previous occasions. In fact, I already did a similar request earlier this summer with Emp laid low by the Platoon:
Anyhoo, I used the suggestion as the basis for another Con Sketch-style illo, with the main damsel pose derived from a recent Empowered rough sketch set:
That was too good a pose not to reuse, as seen in the illo's underdrawing:
I decided to make The Goddamn Maidman Pint-Size(d) as well just for the hell of it, and also to devote most of the illo's available space to Emp's figure. Onward to the Sharpie-based inks:

The piece once again took four full work hours to produce, which is waaaay too long to be viable for further pieces along these lines; oh, well.
As with the other two pseudo-Con Sketches I worked up this month, I'll likely try to sell off this piece down the road, but I'm way too swamped with other work and real-world crap to contemplate doing so at the moment.

This is absolutely adorable and hilarious all at the same time. Is Emp's distress at her situation, or at the absurdity going on around her? I suppose it's good that her powers meant she didn't fall victim to the spell that got the Goddamn Maidman, at least. Gorgeous work, and I hope you can keep on having fun with these different pieces as time permits!

I really like Emp's hair here. It reminds me of the old JBF story, and while I know that's not what happened here, it lends to the impression that she got a few more punches in fighting these ninjas than normally. Good for her!
