The Doombot Stating that a particular plan "was not worthy of the Mad Thinker, let alone Doom" set off memories.. I remember telling you at some convention or another that some of these superhero one offs (in that case the Various Gen-13 Fairchild stories) reminded me of "Spidey's Intellectual Stories", which was a two-page philosophic argument between Spidey and The Mad Thinker, in the infamous "What IF?" #34 (the "funny" issue). The title Being a riff on the "Electric Company" era "Spidey's Super Stories" (Spider Man for VERY young kids). This is that sort of thing, squared. Very much, "Ever heard of Plato, Socrates, Haruhi ?" Morons. Yeah, you kinda did "Endless Eight" off-panel.. That said, when they let you do FF, you really show off the parts of the book "The Incredibles" didn't "borrow". The whole "Star Trek" (Boldly going) meets "Aladdin" (whole new world) vibe, that shows what Sue Sees in Reed (and to some other extent, what Ben does). Johnny is mostly an adrenaline junkie tag along.

Sounds like you really need to write for something longer than a 20-40 page issue. The above outline cries out for an 80 pg or longer graphic novel treatment.
