VINTAGE CON SKETCHES: Yet another random quartet of commissions from 1999!
🕑 Added 2024-02-12 14:00:12 +0000 UTCBehold, yet another bunch of con sketches from the futuristic year 1999, drawn on patterned linen-finish cardstock but, alas, scanned from quite mediocre photocopies of the original artwork.
First off, a wee bit of early Life Drawing as this bikini sketch of Y*ri from Dirty Pair was quite clearly drawn from photoreference:
...as the relatively ambitious shading on her torso indicates.
Next up, a trio of Original Characters, starting with this very unusual tight close-up piece:

..which might be an anime character and not a commissioner's OC? Dunno, and don't quite care enough to look her up.

At present, I'm not set up for that, but have vague plans about TRYING to get something along those lines running this year. (I am, alas, very poor at multitasking and swamped with miscellaneous work right now, so that might take a while.)
