LIFE DRAWINGS FROM PHOTOREFERENCE #185: From 2019, a Magik-al cosplay set drawn in Procreate!
🕑 Added 2023-06-02 13:00:10 +0000 UTCFrom my 2019 era of experimentation in the iPad art app Procreate, here's a sketch set derived from assorted photos of cosplayers rocking outfits based on Magik from the X-Men, New Mutants, etc. At this point I was still using Procreate's admittedly "mushy-looking" Medium Airbrush to get something onto the g-d tablet:
Overall, a pretty solid set, even given the limitations of the airbrush tool I was using. In fact, as you'll see shortly, the next few Procreate sets were remarkably solid; that said, my next Life Drawing set posted here will likely be something much more up to date.

Hey, off topic, but does anyone know what is actually happening with the Emp Volume 12 release date? Kindle and US stores say November now, but UK says July 4th for physical copies?

Yeah, it is 'kind of mushy', but still somehow looks sharp and good. It kind of softens the edge of a more realistic look, and comes out nice.
