Life drawings from photoreference: high-res scans #135
🕑 Added 2022-01-19 14:00:06 +0000 UTCOnce again, I'm doubling up with these latest (well, latest to post) sets of life drawings from random photoref. First above is a shading-focused set from May 2017 (breaking a long streak of sketchier, more movement-based sets), along with a similarly shading-oriented collection from October 2017 with which I was clearly having a lot more trouble, as seen in the upper right pose.
Note that we've (rather a while ago) crossed an important threshold with these posts—both sketch sets are dated from 2017, meaning that the end of my once-formidable buffer of life drawings is in sight, if still rather a long ways off, as I cranked out life drawings almost daily through that year. So, folks, I might need to switch to single-set posts at some point later on in 2022. Gasp!

The book has makes a joke out of Emp's suit contouring to her pubes but not to her vulva. How much does Emp's suit contour to her nipples? Would you be able to make out her areolas? Are people able to see Emp's montgomery glands (the little bumps on women's areolas) when she's wearing the suit?

The shine and shaping on the skin is incredible. These are always gorgeous.

For all the 'Ugh' notes on the second page, the figures look really good. And wow, the chrome-black model on the first page. I can get why drawing that level of skintight detail on Emp's costume constantly would drive you nuts, but it's a fascinating look at what her supersuit 'really' looks like.
