ROSE STANDS ALONE, pt.3 (proto-EMPOWERED comic from early 2000s)
🕑 Added 2021-08-27 13:00:08 +0000 UTCFollowing up on our previous installment, you Bigger Spenders of the $5+ tiers can now enjoy the narrative's continuation as this commissioned story from the early 2000s shifts to Dirty Pair's Kei-- no, Rose turning those fabled tables on her faceless captors.
To cut & paste from the previous post: Anyhoo, at some point in the early 2000s when I was long on free time and short on paying comics work, a generous friend of mine wanted some "DiD" content featuring Kei-- no, Rose. Originally I was going to crank out some pin-ups, but instead I decided to do some sketchy layout pages in what proved to be an early version of the later Empowered comic format.
While the previous installment's fight scene could well have been a legitimate episode in my version of Dirty Pair continuity (save perhaps for the higher level of cheesecakey imagery than usual), this chapter definitely would not be in "real" continuity, as about the last fate that the actual DP would ever be likely to face would be winding up in some "Big Man's harem." Ah, but for the hapless Rose & Lily possibly trapped in an interactive simulation, all kinds of dubious peril might well be threatened, though not ever experienced (SPOILER ALERT, I suppose), as I was never interested in depicting explicit content in these commissions.
This story did in fact continue, but at present I have no scans of the next bunch of pages for some reason. I'll see if my Generous Friend can scan those suckers and send 'em along, but that might take a while, I'm afraid. So... TO BE CONTINUED at some point, I guess?
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Wellp, the monthly exclusive bonus post for the Biggest Spenders of the $10 and $20 tiers is coming up shortly; will likely be either another Empowered vol. 12 excerpt or s'more CSP sketch sets based on last month's art requests if I can find some g-d time to work on 'em.
As for the last August post next Monday, I have quite a few options for that slot, so I might put up a poll over the weekend for you folks to make the choice. Yay!

You know, a buddy of mine tried to add a florally named bondagey type to his harem, but "Violet" turned out to be a split personality of his then-wife pretending to be a seperate person in order to scam him. All I'm saying is I've never seen Rose and Kei/Lily and Yuri in the same place at the same time, and we know that Shasti, no stranger to alternatively structured personae, was tinkering with "Rose" at one point. Might be more here than meets the eye.
