DISTRESSED DAMSELS: "Sticky Situations," pt.4
🕑 Added 2020-06-10 13:01:01 +0000 UTCWith this week's post, we're continuing serialization of a 2003-ish commissioned DiD story featuring my iteration of Dirty Pair's Yuri that I've actually considered redoing as an Empowered episode, for reasons that will eventually become obvious.

(Perhaps I should point out that Yuri is canonically 19 years old, and definitely looks so in my version of the character, in response to the warning that's popped up again onscreen as I prep this post: "Patreon doesn't allow the featuring of seemingly underage characters in the context of adult content." Not sure if everyone's getting this warning, or just manga/anime-influenced artists...)
Howeva, a few words about the genesis of this story, starting out with the random con sketches that inspired it, starting below:
I can't recall if the commissioner from this 2000-ish con sketch above actually requested notoriously goofy Marvel supervillain Paste-Pot Pete (later renamed "the Trapster," disappointingly enough) victimizing the "hot pants & garter belts" version of Kei and Yuri, or if I decided to inflict ol' Pete on an unsuspecting fellow who just wanted a DP DiD piece.
Anyhoo, another longtime regular patron (though not yet a capitalized Patron) was amused by these sketches, and circa 2003 asked for a longer-form Paste-Pot Pete encounter of some sort. And lo, thus did the longest of all these commissioned, proto-Empowered comics begin— and even more amazing, this wound up being the only such narrative with a definitive conclusion. No, really!
Next week the story rolls onward, unfolding in a rather peculiar direction involving Tape-Top Tommy's fevered adoration of duct tape. (Unless I decide to leave a few of the more obnoxious pages out, that is.)

To be fair, I can think of two reasons why someone might rationally avoid “a heated up and ready to play Lovely Angel”. 1. Particularly if somebody knows they’re up to some variety of No Good and doesn’t know if the Lovely Angel in question is aware of that fact, they might reasonably worry about some kind of ploy or setup, and that should they go along with it, they’ll end up, at best, in jail with a nasty case of blue balls like the Jude Lomani-doppelganger terrorist from Run From The Future. 2. Given the chaos that surrounds the Lovely Angels, it isn’t necessarily irrational to fear that getting into a romantic entanglement with one or both of them might end up with you succumbing to some sort of grisly fate. Reaching too close to the heavens can have consequences; mortal lovers of the divine tend to wind up dead or adversely transformed. I mean, none of this would stop me, but maybe Tommy’s the cautious type.

Wow... this guy is so caught up in his schtick as a Tape Guy, he either totally misses Yuri is throwing herself at him, or considers bondage-ing her up with tape more important than having some fun first with a heated up and ready-to-play Lovely Angel? This guy needs to get out more as a civilian.
