Sketch dump from March art requests so far!

A few of these sets are randomly formatted as comic pages as I continue to mess around with CSP's "comicking" tools. The first two panels above are indeed supposed to depict Empowered's Caged Demonwolf using Ninjette as a host. Huzzah!
Above were a last few February requests that snuck in under the wire. Wasn't feelin' it with Isabelle or the Animal Style mecha, but dang if I wasn't rather pleased with the results of the suggestion for "Grumpy Cat Mughi."
Gotta say that the meme panels up top amuse me to no end. On the same "woman yelling at cat" meme tip, might I point out the Empowered vol.6 panel below, in which a drawing of Ocelotina from a decade ago does a remarkably good job of anticipating the meme's confused cat:

Not a big Goonies fan, but did find some stills that interested me from a "life drawing from photoref" angle.
And finally, one more art-request sketch set, already posted a week or so ago on Wednesday's regular "Distressed Damsels" feature for the $5+ tiers:
Yeahp, folks, you get a whole 'nother weekday of DiD-related posts with the $5 tier; just finished serializing an unpublished and highly non-canonical story of "Yuri in distress" this week. Anyhoo, a word of explanation on the second panel: That's supposed to depict a reversal of Emp and Ninjette's first encounter from Empowered vol.1. Wheeee!
Anyhoo, big day today, as in lieu of attending the postponed (if not likely cancelled outright) Emerald City Comic-Con this weekend, I'm hoping instead to finally order a wholly new digital art set-up I've been mulling over for almost a year now. As in, hot new PC with beaucoup RAM, huge Cintiq, ergonomic arm for the huge Cintiq, new computer table, and a new drawing table to replace the monstrously oversized, powered drafting table that's taken up most of my studio space for a few decades now. Time to blow a veritable heap o' money, folks! Wheeee, once more!

I always suspected that's what the Demonwolf was telling Kozue back in the bathroom, along with the little scene in the hospital elevator. You lay down great tracks and as the story becomes more complex, you weave in the earlier ideas. Because you've had time to refine them from their original concepts. Gotten to know the characters, and defined the cosmos in which they live. Bravo, sir.

Have to say I am hoping the shift to digital doesn't see you abandon hand-lettering, or at least not entirely. Even tho the text on these is presumably quick 'n' dirty it's holding up. I've long appreciated the character that the self-done letters gives your work amidst in a sea of generic mixed-case digital lettering we see today. I mean I should be used to it by now but I'm STILL weirded out by mixed-case balloons at times.
