Huggy big cat pages (plus roughs) from EMPOWERED vol.12!
🕑 Added 2020-02-18 14:01:00 +0000 UTCFollowing up from the cliffhanger ending of the last bunch of Empowered vol.12 pages I posted here a few weeks back, enjoy a wholesome few pages of Spooky and her smilodon friend—plus a potentially momentous implication for Emp with that final panel on the third page! (Plus the work-stage roughs for each page.)
Also, enjoy the big cat's whiskers, which were inked on a separate overlay then inverted to white in Photoshop, a technique I've only now started using but really wish I'd thought of deploying before. (For the record, this "white-line overlay" concept has been possible long before Photoshop, as I think an issue of my second Dirty Pair miniseries features a text-based iteration of the technique.)

I have 2 predictions. Either spooky just tries to do it and it possibly works but takes her magic away, or she knows doing it will take her magic and she tells emp, who tells her not to do it.

I was just thinking a goddess with a jealousy and at awe curse emp and any one she makes friend with lol. Has a EMP doll and use kinda like a vadoo doll and ties EMP doll, that then leads EMP getting tied like Soo

Uh oh, sounds like Spooky knows there are extra-dimensional beings that constantly pester the creator of their universe to put Emp in perilous and personally humiliating situations for their own amusement and (even worse) their creator usually obliges these beings! On a serious note, beautiful job with the saber-tooth tiger. Not just the anatomy but also the expressiveness in its face.

Spooky still going to skim lightly over how that curse is her fault, eh? Awkward... Feels like the roughs are translating unusually directly to finished look in this set. Couldn't say what I get that impression, though.
