DISTRESSED DAMSELS: "Undercover Wenches in Trouble," pt.1 of 3
🕑 Added 2020-01-01 14:15:00 +0000 UTCPer your votes in a recent Patreon poll, here's part 1 (of 3) of a commissioned DiD short story in proto-Empowered format, drawn for a generous friend who appreciated not only my earlier con sketches of a wench-ified Kei and Yuri, but also my depiction of a young Red Monika from back-up stories I wrote and drew twenty-odd years ago for Joe Madureira's comic Battle Chasers.
UPDATE: These images were already visible at the second link above, but I'll also attach the older con sketches that first featured the DP's wenchly outfits. (Note that, in this story, Yuri is clearly wearing at least part of her anachronistic costume from the Run from the Future era.)
So, yes, technically at least, this is a fan-comic crossover of sorts between Dirty Pair and Battle Chasers! Howeva, this is a severely non-canonical crossover, as my versions of Kei and Yuri would normally make mincemeat out of poor Monika if she tried anything like this. (Insert your own No-Prize rationalizations here!) Perhaps whatever arcane magic landed the girls as undercover serving wenches in Monika's milieu also stripped them of all their fighting skills and ultra-tech gear, leaving them just as pre-damseled as the similarly hapless Hushed Half-Elf?

If the previous Yuri comic is any indication one assumes escape will be easier given she appears to be wearing at least a "scrap" of her smart suit.

Ignoring my old Grand Unified Theory of Damselry, I’ve got two possible No Prize rationalizations: 1. They’re deliberately allowing themselves to get captured for infiltration purposes/to hide their true capabilities until the right moment. 2. This is all just roleplaying among consenting adults and the Lovely Angels are having a grand old time. After all, they don’t call Kei and Yuri the REDACTED FOR PERSONAL SAFETY/BECAUSE I JUST SPENT TWO GRAND TO HAVE MY TEETH FIXED for nothing!
