EMPOWERED story notes, pt.1

Here, we're seeing a set of my scribbled story notes circa the end of Empowered vol. 1, IIRC. This stuff is my roughest of rough drafts for ideas that might or might not wind up in the series. The babbling is intended for my eyes only, hence the presence of too many cryptic references to bother explaining; the idea is to get my latest ideas down on paper before I forget 'em. And now, some quick annotations:
1) The titular "grim story" bit was never used, but the "Ninjette gaming" riff appeared in an EMP2 story.
2) This bit wouldn't appear until EMP5's introduction of "F**king Oyuki-chan." Note that a wedding was originally involved, and also that the "norm-sized" line refers to the amazing fact that, early on in the series, I imagined Ninjette's clan as being a bunch of tiny, pint-sized, miniature shinobi. (Long story.)
3) Weather-control character who finally made a cameo appearance in the Empowered and the Soldier of Love miniseries.
4) Unused idea, hinging on older superheroes with Gen X childhood and teenage pop-culture backgrounds like yours truly. (All the obscure references are personal, needless to say.)
5) This first paragraph's riff appeared almost word-for-word in EMP2.
6) Interesting ideas for playing around with the suit's appearance! Note that the "invisible suit" bit was a key plot point in the climax of EMP4.
7) And here's the basic idea for EMP4's Mindf**k, who originally might've been Emp's ex-boyfriend instead(!).
8) A fun bit I never got around to using, the idea being that Emp's suit distorted and thinned-down what she saw when wearing the mask and looking at herself in the mirror, all in an attempt to get her to wear it.
9) And the rest of the page's notes wound up unused, for the most part.
Oops, these annotations just took half a g-d hour. Yikes!
