I prefer emails, but I'm pretty forgetful. Plus with how busy I get at work it's nice to have friendly reminders.

My app notifies me on my phone - thatβs why Iβm often the first like on your posts π - so for me, the emails are redundant. But Iβm not complaining at all, just whateverβs best for everyone else is fine with me.
