Weekly Update 7/21/25
🕑 Added 2025-07-21 17:19:09 +0000 UTCLast week:
It was a pretty by-the-numbers affair last week. Busy for me outside of game development, but I made good progress on the demo. That included polishing a few odds and ends with one location and knocking out the first of the game's expansion sequences.
I've thankfully learned a lot since making Enter the Expansion Mansion, so the way expansion sequences are integrated into the game is much smoother than it once was. This includes the ability to have your current location actually influence the expansion sequences in certain ways, plus some overall cleaner code on the back end.
This week:
Things look to be jogging along at a pretty reasonable pace this week. I've got a few real life deadlines that I'll be working around, but otherwise, I've got a good several days to devote to work on the game demo. My soft goal is to finish up all of the rough work for the demo by the end of next week. Currently, that means two new locations (one with several interactions) and a second expansion sequence. Then it's nothing but the clean-up and debugging to make sure it's set for wider release!
This is definitely the longest I've gone without a new piece of content releasing, and it's taken some adjustment to get past the dumb feeling in my brain that I'm somehow "slacking." I'm getting there, though. I know I'm busy, even if the "content faucet" isn't pouring, and you guys, my wonderful supporters, are awesome for sticking with me as gears are changed over.
It won't be too much longer before you can set foot on the Isle of Eros yourselves!
Content releases:
-No major content releases planned again this week as I steamroll ahead on the Isle of Eros demo
