Weekly Update 7/7/25
🕑 Added 2025-07-07 17:45:52 +0000 UTCLast week:
A lot of progress was made on Isle of Eros last week, pretty much entirely centered around new passages for the game's latest major location and character (no spoilers!), which are the first BIG location/character combo I'm adding in after the game's intro area.
I've also spent an absurd amount of time hashing out some overall game details and later events/locations/characters/items (many of which are still a bit nebulous, though taking shape in my mind). There's a much more concrete plan in place now, though I'm sure lots will change as those ideas meet new ones (and my own personal limitations within the Harlowe/Twine toolset).
Things are coming together at an increased speed, at this point. Hopefully not much longer until demo day! (We're still talking weeks, rather than days, unfortunately.)
This week:
The big plan for this week is to finish up the rough work on this current secret location/character. At that point, I hope to push a rough release out to the True BElievers before moving on to the last two locations I want to include in the demo. Those are both more limited locations, so won't take nearly as long as the current one.
All this is to say that I'm reasonably certain I can make the next rough release happen by this coming weekend, with the final pre-demo rough release and cleaned-up demo release following not long after.
Unless something totally insane and unexpected hits my life very soon, you can expect the demo release by the end of August at the latest. (hopefully it arrives by the end of July.)
Content releases:
-Isle of Eros Version 0.0.4 rough release for True BElievers HOPEFULLY releasing by Sunday.
