We're Back, Baby
🕑 Added 2022-07-29 03:31:50 +0000 UTCHere we go again! I’m unpausing the Patreon for August and wanted to give you guys an update on where things stand, why, and what it means going forward.
I initially paused everything since I was burnt-out and can never find that gainer energy in the heat of summer. As this month ticked by, and I was gearing up again after almost two months of no pressure to gain, a different kind of misfortune struck and that was my grandma’s health took a turn for the worse, so I have been spending a lot of time with her and the rest of my family. After a bit, we realized she hadn’t been taking some of her medicine and corrected that and she is doing much better again but we don’t know how much time she has left so a ton of my free time has been spent with her and that is going to continue.
Having said that, I am ready to get back to gaining. It can be long days, but it’s worth it. Today I woke up before 5 AM to make it to the gym before work, then after work I spent the afternoon and evening with my family until after 10:30 PM for me to come home and type this up before chugging another shake and going to bed. In the past, I have always taken on more than I can juggle because I felt like I had to, then felt like I wasn’t living up to where I should be, and then compounded the stress with guilt until things calmed down again, leaving me a wreck in the process. Thankfully, I have learned since the days of my youth and I’m much improved when it comes to setting boundaries.
Which brings me to the next section: I am going to continue spending time with my family, lifting, eating big, and working which means something has to be cut somewhere to make all the pieces fit together. And I want to put this out there publicly, so no one takes it personally, but I am going to continue my social withdrawal for a while longer. I will return the messages in the inbox on here this weekend, but my effort, energy and time will be focused on the things mentioned above. I’m not looking to meet up or be chatty or do video calls or anything like that because most of my days are like the ones today and I simply don’t have the spare bandwidth to make it happen. Outside of that one change, the gaining, eating big, making videos and all that will continue as normal like it did before.
If this setup sounds completely abhorrent, awful, and unfair I wanted to give you all time to unsubscribe until things calm down a bit since Patreon hasn’t charged in a couple months, I don’t want anyone to be surprised and left scrambling for cash after an unexpected expense. And if you can live with this small change, then we will continue into August together and start a dedicated effort to grow the belly again. I’m currently waking up empty at 300 pounds, so the weight has been surprisingly resilient despite gaining being on the backburner which makes me happy. My body seems to have accepted 300 as a new baseline and is happy to maintain that, but we’ll be happier watching that number rise.

Glad to hear that you're prioritizing and setting boundaries that are good for you. Ultimately, this space is for you to share -- no one is entitled to anything.
