Steam news!
🕑 Added 2023-12-03 01:31:10 +0000 UTCHello people! I've some mixed news about Steam. 😮
I will try to be as short as possible:
1) Steam is telling me that due that V 0.03 is posted, there is a chance that they will not let me upload Season 1 as a different game, they want me to update it V 0.03. This is a massive inconvenience for me because the remaster has many changes that can produce bugs with older saves, I have been talking with them via email, but this seems to be problematic.
2) I was not aware that if the game was in 30 languages, I have to create 30 Steam pages... One for each language... I was not expecting this amount of work, but it's very logical for them to make different texts for each language, so I've been creating all of them.
3) Due to point 1, it's very possible that I will take down V 0.03 from Steam, in case someone want it, download it, once you download it, you will own it forever (even in case I stop publishing it)
For me, it was not the week I was expecting, the Steam news are not the best, I'm doing all this work, and at this moment, I'm not sure if they will let me publish it...
But I will do my part, do the best that I can, and hope for the best. 🙂
I already have a preview of how it should look if they let me publish it, I'm posting it today.
I'm working as hard and fast as I can to have all the Steam pages done, I can't wait to finish it and know if I will be able to publish or not.
Sorry that this is taking so much time, I'm the first that want to close all things related to Season 1 as soon as possible to I can focus in development new content for Season 2.
Have a great weekend! 👋

Hello Don Heck! 👋It is not easy to publish on Steam, but it is the biggest platform and the only one of that size that allows adult content like IoM (I wanted to try with Epic Games but they don't allow this kind of game there) I know that many people from here were aware of the existence of IoM thanks to Steam. 🙂 I want to publish on all the platforms at the same time because that's the way I've more control in case a bug appears and allows me to be more organized.

yup, otherwise we could just not contribute and go to steam. I will won't do it quickly because i appreciate someone's work, but

I understand Steam being ridiculous and creating issues for you Marci, but isn't the reward for being Patreon supporters for you having access to your work here, ahead of other sites?

Why can't you close out season 1 on here or on a different platform. I don't understand what is so great about steam. So many developers try to put on steam but f*** steam. Why is it so important to get any game on steam when you can put it on here or subscribstar and other easier to get on platforms.
