Technical News V 0.08 (Plus Sophie Introduction ๐ฎ)
🕑 Added 2023-06-14 20:00:04 +0000 UTCHello people! Today I will make a list so everyone knows the current status of V 0.08, plus I will introduce a secret project that I have been working on for a while! S.O.P.H.I.E. ๐ฎ
* Current state of completion of V 0.08: 87-89%
* More than 150 animations in 4k (and counting, because I'm still rendering animations)
* Around +/- 1000 renders/images.
* 4 New Songs have been added to the V 0.07 playlist.
* New sounds.
* A button in the lower menu to open the music player.
* New 4k animated main menu.
* New section in the menu, "Extra content" (Which includes links to the IoM socials)
* New cursor and some subtle adjustments to the game interface.
* New font with an added background shadow, which makes the text even easier to read than before.
* A button in the lower menu to hide/show the upper menu. (This is giving me some problems, so it's not 100% certain that it will be included in V 0.08)
* I'm still working on synced sounds on the new H scenes, this is consuming a lot of time to do correctly, but I'm doing my best to bring it to V 0.08 (In case this cause much delay, I will not include it.)
* I'm also adding a sound dial/bar to the new H scenes so that the player (you ๐) can modify the volume of moans and sounds on H scenes. (This goes hand in hand with the previous point, not 100% sure if I will be able to add it to V 0.08, but I'm doing my best to include it.)
--- S.O.P.H.I.E - A.I. ---
Now let's talk and introduce the secret project... ๐ S.O.P.H.I.E - A.I. (Semantic Optimization and Personalized Human-Like Interpretation with Experimental AI)
You know Tony Stark has his fancy J.A.R.V.I.S., right? Well, let me tell you, S.O.P.H.I.E is way cooler and more useful than it!๐
So, what's the deal with S.O.P.H.I.E? It's my very own brainchild ๐คฉ. I've been working tirelessly to develop an experimental AI program that can translate Innocence Or Money into multiple languages (In reality, any game, but it's a secret and private project that will only be used for IoM ๐ฎ).
The main objective is to allow all non-English speakers to play and understand the story of IoM. (For all the new supporters, my native language is Spanish, so I can relate to those who have asked me to translate the game into another language)
To try to keep S.O.P.H.I.E. under control, the test will first be done with only 3 languages (Spanish, French and German). It is very important the letter E (Experimental). This can work wonders or destroy the game code ๐ , which is why I always have multiple backups.
Once I have V 0.08 ready, I will make a normal copy, and another copy I will give to S.O.P.H.I.E. and she will take control and modify the code to do the translations.
To be honest, the odds that it will work the first time are somewhat low because the program is somewhat complex. But as I said before, this is a unique project and 100% of my own creation, so I can make modifications, and with time it will learn and evolve (Let's hope this is not the beginning of Skynet!).
What is the purpose of S.O.P.H.I.E.?
She is able to translate all the texts in the game (except the images). All the images that contain text will either be left the same, or I will make them for each language. (For example, when a black screen appears that says "Meanwhile at the Warriott..." it will not be translated by S.O.P.H.I.E.)
I'm not looking for a perfect translation, the important thing is that the story is understandable and that each person can play IoM in their native language to improve the game experience, not everyone speaks English and what I am looking for with it is that IoM can reach everyone around the globe. (A bit ambitious, isn't it? ๐)
If this project works... V 0.01 to V 0.08 will be translated, and more and more languages will be added in a very accelerated way. In the end, with one click, I will be able to translate the game into almost any language...
I'm very excited, but at the same time, because of the complexity, I know it's not very realistic to think that it will work on the first try. I've done fundamental tests, and it has worked for me, but translating full IoM is something completely different.
But don't worry, if I don't get it working in a reasonable period of time, I won't let it delay the V 0.08 version, and I will release it without S.O.P.H.I.E. but... I will do everything possible to include it since that would allow me to receive feedback from people who speak Spanish, French, and German to keep improving this AI. ๐
I wish everyone a great day!

MarcialART, I am a freelance writer and editor, so if you need additional assistance with your story or just some help with English text, then let me know. What might be difficult for you because of the Spanish-English translation, will probably be an easy task for me. I contributed because I like this product and enjoy your style. Of course, I adore Jennifer and all the cast, too.

Hello Eduardo! ๐ I don't know if I have the knowledge and time to do it. ๐
MarcialART
Hey Lander! Jess is getting jealous and mad after reading your comment. ๐
overfiend1979
Indeed. However I feel it should be the Union Jack, afterall many countries speak French but you use the French flag usually.

Omg, omg, omg, 89% done.
Loved the Idea of S.O.P.H.Y. why don't you actuall develop it to be a real AI to be integrated in HomeAssistant server HA is a home automation opensource server software that is lacking a voice assistent like google home, alexa or siri...

Hey Simon! ๐ Yes, there is no problem, good observation. ๐ From now on, I will use US/UK flag to represent English. ๐
Simon Peaple
Silly request, but can we have English represented with a US/UK flag? ;) it's a shared language after all!
