Slugs recovered from lead plates

Great video, Jeff. I'm curious, when you melt the lead plate, what happens to the projectiles that were stuck in it? Do they melt too or after the lead gets soft, do you scoop them out?
The slugs and other stuff that isn't melted is skimmed off. This is some of the stuff I found, most isn't recognizable - sort of look like stuff you'd find after a fire.
