Part I: Intro
I aspired to greatness
Long before I knew its face
I wished for glory
Long before I knew its taste
I asked for power
Long before I knew its base
I was not wrong to dream
I was not wrong to hope
But I have long since known,
That which I want
Cannot be gained by either
Or with begging hands
That which I want,
I must seize for myself
That which I desire,
I must prove worthy of
That which I crave
I must fight for
And so I will
Come what may
Let Heaven bear witness
And Earth be signatory
That which I yearn for
I will fight for
In a field of broken blades
Rent shields and shattered lances
I will stand tall, unbowed
My head forever held high,
Having attained my goal
And all shall know my name
