We march as one,
Unstoppable in our conquest
We march as one,
Onwards to our inevitable victory
We fight as one,
Decimating all who march against us
We bleed as one,
Seizing retribution for our fallen.
Our shields we raise as one,
To protect ourselves and our comrades.
Our spears we thrust as one,
To cow and skewer our enemies.
Our arrows we loose as one,
To rain death on our foes.
Our swords we swing as one,
To cut down the fools in our path.
We have no equals
None but the gods can claim better.
We are the elite,
One of us is worth twelve of them.
We are cannot be beaten,
For we are one and they many.
We are the Centuria of Atinius
We march, fight and bleed as one!
The mantra of an the elite imperial army unit. For a time, such mantra were popular to chant in battle as they both rose and focused the spirits of the army whilst cowing their enemies. The unit in question, The Centuria of Atinius was a elite force under the command of legendary figure Praetor Caius Atinius. The unit was said to live and breathe as a phalanx to the point where many felt they were more phalanx ants than men.
