well, yeah—pretty much. you actually get it. the noah you see in the chapters is filtered through liam, like you said. he’s manipulative there, preying and careful, so he has to be more mindful and layered. but in the interview, he’s talking to me—the literal god of his world. he has no power over me, and he knows it. he hates that. so he’s more raw, annoyed, antagonistic, hostile. he doesn’t want to be here. he feels like a show pony. the fact that he has to be is gutting to him—humiliating, even. it’s still him. just not the version that needs to charm anyone. get it?

Going into the interview, I was genuinely excited. In the chapters, Noah is sharp, witty, and on-point with every line. I saw so much of myself in him—his voice, his timing, the way he sees the world. So I expected the interview to deepen that connection. But instead, I felt let down. Noah came across as closed off—almost hostile. He had this energy that felt cold, even dickish… and not in a clever, layered way. It just didn’t land. I get that maybe I’m projecting a bit—I’ll admit, I’m partial to Liam. But I didn’t expect that kind of attitude. It felt off-brand for the Noah I connected with. Maybe it’s unfair to hold him to how he’s written, but still… it left me with a bad taste.
