FEETY FEETY FEET-FEET

Well, we've finished the filming for this week. We're visiting the grandkids tomorrow, then it's back home, then off to Norfolk next week.
We didn't quite get everything done that I wanted - we ran out of time for the two extra videos - but this one might be split into two anyway (a bit like the first two Poland vids).
Today was a big milestone for me, because... we did hiking.
Sanja loves walking, and we used to do a lot when we first got together, but I've been struggling in recent years. There were a couple of locations I wanted to film at this week which were only accessible by hiking, but I was worried my feet wouldn't hold up.
Have I mentioned my feet? Basically, for the past 15 years my feet have been getting more and more painful. I'd tried everything... but last year it was becoming a real issue, and actually starting to limit my mobility. Then a few months ago I had the bright idea to get a pair of larger shoes, and see if that made a difference.
And yeah... Turns out that since I was 18 I've been squeezing my feet into shoes that were a size too small. So, now I have bigger shoes (note: NOT clown shoes), and suddenly I can do a lot more walking again. Poland was the first test - but most of that was on level ground.
But today we hiked down to a waterfall (and back up again) then down to a hidden cove (and back up again). I mean, I ache to heck now - and my feet DO hurt - but there's no way I could've done that a year ago. And that is nice.
Anyhow. Here are a few photos from today.

I bought some orthopedic shoes .. rather cool looking too.. I never knew how bad my back was until then. Try it.
