After a long wait and many teases, here we have it: Decemberâs Postcard of the Month. In the end, Iâve titled it âHow We Spent the Winter Nightsâ, and it depicts a writer and her butch or transmasc lover. Definitely among the most time-intensive pieces that Iâve ever made, and worth every single one of the 209 book spines I illustrated in it.
This postcard marks the beginning of the Merry Blackbird Postcard Societyâs third year. Isnât that wild?! Itâs a privilege to make artwork for you for a third trip around the sun. December is now the first month to have three MBPS cards!
Coming up, Iâll be showing off the gold foil postcard that will be accompanying it in Raven Dandy deliveries!
And Iâll also be revealing a special surprise Iâve been working on to celebrate the MBPSâs second anniversary at the end of this month! Iâve just gotten photo proofs back of this handsome little trinket, and I canât wait to show it to you.
