SFO in year and future!
🕑 Added 2017-12-05 16:28:53 +0000 UTC Venris here! How all of you doing? I am very good and have to say that past year was crazy. In January we will have 1 year when I joined Steel on modding SFO. Many things have changed to this day and let me remind you few of those:
SFO I:
- best rated mod on TW:W steam workshop
- most covered mod on Youtube
- most covered mod on Twitch
- biggest number of submods to SFO itself on steam workshop
- biggest Discord mod group
- 2nd most subscribed overhaul mod
SFO II:
- SFO Modding changed to SFO Mod Team and adding 6 members
- best rated mod on TW:W steam workshop
- most covered mod on Youtube
- most covered mod on Twitch
- biggest number of submods to SFO itself on steam workshop
- biggest Discord mod group
- 1st most subscribed overhaul mod
It was a funny ride and still is. I quit my normal job to start modding full time. I met so many great people that I would like to meet in real life that I can not count. Each and every one of you changed me in some way.
Then came WH 2 and I was alone with core modding. Was afraid at first but thanks to help of so many of you I was able to do it - deliver best SFO experience up to date. Thats why I am very proud to annouce that with Reprisal Update public release SFO II ver. 1.0 will be released (its available for all Patrons right now on Private Discord and require Beta Reprisal Update). But its not the end. Ver. 1.0 is all features of SFO I added to SFO II. More things will be added with time and you can see them in this summary:
- Content Update for each of game 2 factions. That means new units, buildings and faction effects and more. Thanks to Zarkis, Empire and Skaven (added to ver. 1.0) those faction got huge rework. More factions will have such care and new stuff. High Elves are first on the list and you can expect to have them as first Content Update.
- More Legendary Units. With 1.0 some of the factions SFO units were changed to Legendary Units - RoR style units that are capped to 1, recruited only in special places and very powerful. Da Immortulz, Shadowdancers and Black Grail Knights are first of this kind. More factions will receive own Legendary Units in separate updates. Game 2 factions will receive those with their Content Pack. Game 1 factions will receive them in 1 big Content Pack.
- Entire overhaul for Wood Elves. Asrai are one of those factions that campaign gameplay is looking good on paper but in practice is very boring. So SFO will change it and their outposts, amber and tech systems will have entire rework.
- Further updates with each DLC and update. Each game update gives more ways to upgrade the game. Thats why SFO will develop and become bigger and bigger with each of those updates.
- Tournaments! Tournaments are coming back soon. Thanks to our living community balance of the SFO 2 is becoming better and better. In time we will organize big tournaments like faction wars, league and more.
- Big SFO I update. SFO I will receive big update with all game 2 features that I will be able to import there. So expect faction traits, new buildings and more.
- SFO will come to every new Total War game and other games (Vermintide 2) if time allows.
This is just a preview of things that will arrive soon. In coming days we will have first SFO contest winner and then work on High Elves Content Update will start.
I would like to thank all of you personally for support, great words every day and that you are sharing this Warhammer passion with me :).
Venris out!
