Blessed Ones and future update!
🕑 Added 2018-02-27 14:10:19 +0000 UTCHey everyone, Venris here!
Some time has passed since the Ulric Update patch, and I am very happy with state of the Empire. I can say that the Empire is 100% done in SFO now! Of course some small bug fixes etc. will be added in time, but as far as core mechanics and unit stuff it’s done. I don’t count Lords and Heroes because those will be done after everything settles with WH2 DLCs. Making Lords and Heroes is very time consuming and more things need to be done now.
So getting to the future, the new update is in the works now. As the Dark Elves received some love in the campaign, the Lizardmen are next. They will receive new effects on buildings, 1 new building chain, and 8 new Blessings for their Blessed units. Right now Blessed units are just a better version of their basic unit with some stat buffs. NO MORE! Now, in each battle you will be able to pick 1 of 7 Blessings (not all 7 will be on each unit) and enable it as a unit buff. It won’t have a recharge time and will last until battle ends, but it will also remove the option to pick other Blessings.
Actual ideas:
Blessed Spawning of Chotec
Fire attacks & 25% fire resist
Blessed Spawning of Tzunki
Frostbite & 8 melee defence
Blessed Spawning of Tlazcotl
+10 leadership & Magical attacks
Blessed Spawning of Tepok
+25% magic resist & perfect vigour
Blessed Spawning of Sotek
+10 charge & poison
Blessed Spawning of Quetzl
+10% physical resist,+10% missile resist & +10 armour
Blessed Spawning of Huanchi
+Stalk, 5 melee attack, 10% speed
Thanks to this you will be able to change the role of your Blessed units during battle and get more strategic options. These units will also come to custom game with a limit of 1, same as RoR (limit in campaign of 5 won’t be changed).
As you can see, the core stuff from the next update is not big. That’s why the new update will come in 1-2 weeks with only a short beta. With it, Standalone Units Pack also will be released for vanilla users.
The reason for such a fast release and small patch is simple: the update after this will be Ulric-Update-sized. Units for all New World Factions are in the works now. I will share info about them soon. But remember that those rosters won’t be as big as the Old World Factions because of lack of assets and the fact that CA can add some of our units in DLCs. So right now we have planned:
1-2 Dark Elves units
1-2 Lizardmen units
2-4 Skaven units
More info about it soon. Also, with Blessing units update we will be hosting the first SFO II Tournament. So stay tuned!
Venris out!
