Chaos Content Pack has entered BETA!
🕑 Added 2017-09-05 06:40:09 +0000 UTC Hi all, Steel*Faith here!In our latest content pack, we introduce some very substantial content for the Warriors of Chaos! Personally, I used to love the game Warhammer Online, because I knew the developers were very passionate fans of the Warhammer world, and put a lot of attention and care into their product. One of the most memorable parts of that game were the interesting classes they added for Chaos. So as a tribute to that game, we are using some the the unit concepts they made, and have introduced them into Steel Faith Overhaul!
The content that we introduced in this pack is:
- 3 powerful new Chaos units, which add interesting and useful new tactical options to the Warriors of Chaos. These units are the Chaos Zealots (the dark priests of Chaos, with all new buff and debuff spells - they are by far one of the most original and unique units created for TW:W as of yet); Chaos Marauder Champions (Lethal mutant champions, with great strength, resistances, and endurance); finally one of the most powerful and terrifying units in the game - the Great Chaos Dragon.
- We are continuing to improve the visual standard of SFO, and introduce new skins for many Chaos units, RoR units, and visual improvements made to various other units in the game. These skins also correspond with revamped units and stats, are are not only for visual purposes, but to make more units feel more useful and different overall.
- All new Chaos buildings which alter how you play the Chaos campaign. You now have choices to build Shrines dedicated to the worship of the 4 Chaos gods, and you can choose between them to gain the powerful effects which will alter your horde with unique strengths and weaknesses. A 5th building is very original, and transforms your horde into a powerful "supply train", but makes it slow moving and expensive to maintain, but helps to expand and reinforce the Chaos Hordes as they march their way south to end the world.
- Continued improvements to MP and SP unit balancing. As well as improved single player skill trees, Tech Trees, Building Effects, AI skill choice selections and more.
So we hope you will join us in our beta testing, before we make it an official public release. We also hope you will join us in our thriving discord community, as it offers players a great way to connect with other passionate fans of both Warhammer, TW:W and SFO mod; as well as a great place to find games for mutliplayer, co-op campaigns etc.
Thank you to all those passionately supporting us, and for all those who would consider lending support to us going into game 2; we have big plans, and a ton of work ahead of us, but we are determined to make SFO the best it possibly can be!
