Quick Update
🕑 Added 2024-08-16 12:11:00 +0000 UTCI finished writing the scenes for Yog-Sothoth! Next I need to do an editing pass to make sure that everything is consistent and I'm not being too repetitive. I'm getting a little worried that the dialogue in the game is kind of rambling and repetitive for the sake of padding out a scene. That's something I'm going to be keeping an eye on.
After that, I need to do a testing to explore every branch and make sure that nothing causes a crash. And then we should have a new beta update. So it'll probably be next week or the week after that.
This update will not be including any new visual or audio assets. We're a little bit stuck on those due to delays in the background art. I'm also trying to continue to adapt my tool set so I can keep working from bed due to my disability. This has been a very trying year, probably not the best time to be launching a game project but here we are.
At this point I'm expecting that the game will be releasing in 2025. Presumably early 2025, but I'd be pushing it a little bit too hard to try to get this thing out the door this year.
Also, I'd like to actually hold up my end of the bargain here and do weekly blog posts about the game industry in general or things I've been playing. That's kind of fun by the way side because again, health problems and dealing with depression and so on but You deserve it for continuing to support me. (And as always, nobody is obliged to continue to support me so if your financial situation is such that you can't contribute, I completely understand.) if you have any topics that you'd like to pick my brain about, on game design or the industry or general musings about video games, just leave a comment.
Mortal Kombat. Thanks for your patience.
... I wanted that to read "more to come" but Siri had her own idea and I'm just going to leave it as it is.
