I like this, it's a fun horror-themed cuddly thing that I do enjoy. Being horror THEMED vs actually horror is quite different. And Horror themed stuff allows for the fun aesthetic thing without having to deep dive into darker themes or tones. Kind of like Halloween, all about being spooky, but in a more light and fun way.

I kinda really like this idea, though my headcannons do have different Reggies running around history. Like, the old Reggie is a modern-day "reincarnation" of new Reggie who's a fantasy-era mage. Different times, slightly different people, same soul. Without the magic they both use it'd just read to me like relatives divided by time.

I like to think that Reggie wasn't evil in the comic, that he truly wanted to keep Jasper safe and happy. But with Jasper's decreasing mental health and reluctance to leave his house to do things, that's probably not what was needed.

sometimes what we consider to be monstrous is simply misjudged. Reggie is too kind to be a malicious being, even if of the eldritch persuasion
