Denial, The B-Word, And The Future Of This Project

This is a post I have been hesitant to make for a really long time, but at this point, it's been going so long that I need to address it. It's time for some transparency.
I am burnt out.
There's a big pressure when you're a content creator to maintain your mental health at all costs so you never have to stop working. If you start to feel like you need a break, you just need to adjust something in your work schedule to allow extra time for that while not decreasing content flow. But the human mind is not a machine. You can't just adjust the oil flow to get better performance (As much as I wish that was the case like all the time). And if you ignore the problem, you will be made to acknowledge it.
This is where I am right now.
This week, as has been the case every week since I defended my thesis, I have sat in front of my computer all day long and struggled to squeeze tiny drops of productivity out of an empty container. This is why content has been slow, and this is why I was doing the AI characters. I'm trying to force the productivity machine into gear and everything's just grinding.
On top of all this, I've gotten word back from one of the myriad positions I applied for post-defense and they want me to move out to California in a little over a month for full time employment.
That brings me back to this Patreon. I don't want to stop making games, nor do I want to give up on the projects I have been working on these past months, but something's gotta give for the time being while I recover and get my life in order again. I won't be leaving entirely, but I will be interacting a lot less for a while, likely only posting when I have something worth showing you guys.
I completely understand if this news leads to some of you unsubbing, because frankly, I wouldn't blame you. I do hope you stay, but if this is goodbye, I want to thank you for your patronage and I hope you'll check me out again in the future.
I'll still be hanging out in our discord server and answering direct messages wherever they show up, but for now, I'm going to be stepping away from this Patreon for a bit to get my head back on straight.
