I am back at the WDD grind once again, working on some more mood variance scenes like the one in Forest Lane with the guy playing gameboy. This penguin meeting is the comfy option! I'm also realizing that the automation scene is going to need to be changed if I want it to be done anytime soon. My original plan was for a lot of sprite-based animation which was just turning into a never ending job. I think what will work better is a CG-based approach like what I've been using for the other scenes. Maybe like 3 or 4 different images to create a "cutscene" of sorts with some variance in the images for player mood and game options? I dunno. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Happy to be back at it and I'm hoping I'll have another build for you soon!

Also I found a bug (at least I’m 99% sure it’s a bug) in the witch scene - the mushrooms sometimes don’t appear, I think it’s due to them not respawning or something like that - since they do appear in my earlier saves but not my later ones

Aaaah okay, it does. And I can definitely see how that would be a lot more work lol. Personally I do think a comic book style page would be really cool :D

So when I say "sprite animation" I'm talking about what Night of the Spanking Dead does. CGs are what this game and Spank or Treat does. So to clarify, I wanted to make this automation scene a series of 2 or 3 comic book page like CG images to show the progression of the scene happening. Does that answer your question?

I like the idea with a cut scene because you're CG is great! Do whatever is better for you and the project and I'm excited to see what you're coming up with.

I think whatever method(s) you’ve been using for the animation so far look good - but I wouldn’t be against a new type for this scene. I don’t really know the difference between what the different types of animation would look like - do you have any examples?
