There's the unsettlement! Either practicing drawing it or learning to do creep-pasta-esque photoshop are gonna play really nice with this. I had my doubts when I thought about it but I can see now it's working to an extent.

Thats a legitimately creepy creature, I think the way its just doesnt match the rest of the art style makes it that much more jarring
