True, my partner's father had already passed away before we even met... aaaand I myself fit a little bit the "once institutionalised father-in-law"... my partner brought two teenagers into our marriage, who are meanwhile married themselves -> I'm a father-in-law. A long time before I was in stationary therapy - after I and a much older man (uncle) strongly disagreed about the age of consent... and he physically showed me that he did not share my opinion -> I was in an "asylum"... 😊
