📋 v2.6.3 Progress Update 📈

Sadly, I had to drop the Xenobiology mission with Professor Alpha from this update 😥 - the self-immolation of my graphics card lost me a few too many days from the schedule. I'll be making that scene in the July update, instead - and, on the plus side, expanding it a little! For anyone wondering about the 'Portal' scene teased in the last end-credits, that's included in the Progress Chart under 'Fighting Rick'.

I've decided to make the Xenobiology missions quite a bit larger than originally planned, and retool the Xenobiology UI to included proper entries for each species featured in the lectures. The July update will see 2 Xenobiology missions drop [separate lectures on Alpharians and Grokbok]. All Xenobiology 101 lectures will be passworded [$10 Sergeant-tier]. Like the Xenobiology content on Patreon, there may well be guest lecturers [and crew members roped in for display purposes] - but that's still drawing-board. I'll do a proper post about it nearer the time. We'll be seeing some other alien content over the next few episodes too. Ayewn will appear in the May update, and Kex will probably appear in the August update. D'Lan might feature in the June update [but unconfirmed].

Bit disappointed about about the postponed Xenobiology content. It feels like we hadn't had any aliens for a long time. Still, I think it's the right decision to work on developing current characters and wrapping up storylines before introducing new ones. But I'm a bit confused about the singular mission. The original tease said Alpharians and Grokbok (though also in singular). Are they one mission? Also, will some of the aliens on board have a role as guest lecturer or something when their species gets covered? I could see Ayewn doing that since it's so important to him how the Volchak are perceived. Though it would also be hard to imagine someone like Krathi giving a presentation.
