π HOLODECK MISSIONS π

As some of you already know, Phase 2 will concentrate heavily on taking optional missions that improve your Stats [like IQ, Strength and Sex]. The Stats you gain will determine which Branch of SpaceCorps you're eligible for [e.g. you'll need good Strength and Combat to get into Forward Infantry, and good IQ and Data to get into SciCorps].
That means making a lot of missions - and for that, I've needed some help. My last Patreon goal was to get more help from contributors... and I've been beavering away on that since the summer π
To get the best quality contributions, I've only been contacting experienced developers with games of their own and a track record of regular updates. All make games that I enjoy and subscribe to myself, and all are lovely people who are very much on the SpaceCorps wavelength! π€© You'll be hearing a fair bit about them over the next few months!
So far, 5 developers have agreed to contribute unique Holodeck Missions to SpaceCorps. Between them, they make Straight, Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Futa and Trans content. All are at different stages of development, but one [the amazing Snowheart, who makes Bound By Night] has just finished the first of his three planned levels π
How it works:
When selecting missions at the start of the day, you'll be able to click Holodeck as a choice [see the main picture above]. That will then open up the screen below, where you can pick from the available Holodeck missions:
MC will then be transported into the digital worlds of the contributing devs - interacting [and usually having sex with] their characters, and learning valuable skills. This means MC will get to battle werewolves in the BBN Universe, or take part in experiments in the Panacea universe... Basically, it's the King Daddy of Crossover p0rn π
When will this be out?
I'm still working on the Season Finale - with a planned December release - and you'll be hearing plenty more about that in the weeks to come! π That will conclude Phase 1 of SpaceCorps. I'm aiming to release the first episode of Phase 2 in January or February - and it will include at least one of the Holodeck missions.

At the Moment, only 7 Branches will be active - sub-Branches like SciCorps Commandos or SecuriCorps Division 9 will be more like a 'Recruitment' plot-line path. That said, aiming high for Strength, Combat, IQ and Data stats would be a likely way to prep for it!

How much IQ and data versus strength and weapons skills will we need to get into my favoured sweet spot, aka Science Corps own Marine Branch? As I'd want my mc to get a lot smarter but be more of a hands on field researcher than a lab or library type. Plus there may also be the branch that shall not be named as an option if we do psi power increasing things..............but we seem to be doing a lot of that already.

Each mission is unique - but there will be lots of missions in each stat. If MC hits the books and goes to xenobiology lectures, practices first aid, etc he can increase his IQ. There will also be other ways - experimental potions, etc - within the Main Storyline π He can absolutely get into branches which require higher IQ and Data... but he'll need to work a lot harder for them than he will for his natural gifts [Forward Infantry. Comfort Section and ServiCorps].

No grind! π± Maid Service is a short mission chain with Lenore, and First Aid will be 2 short chains [one with MAX, one Fiora]. The missions will be on top of the Main Storyline - and will hopefully make every playthrough a unique experience π Most of the Holodeck will be guest devs - but I may add some myself, if inspired!

ooh that's a very appetizing morsel of information! It sounds like a good solution for the big amount of content you need. As I'm sure other people will comment on the holodeck missions and collaborations, I will ask about the rest π So, looking at the first screen, you see various duties... I guess that stuff like First Aid and Maid Service (which I suppose they'll be random or semirandom?) won't have a specific mission or task, so how about the [dare I say it?] grindy-ness of it all? Also, will there be missions beyond the Holodeck as in, the 'real' world? (I understood that the holodeck is reserved to guest contributors and the rest is you, but I might have gotten it wrong) I guess there'll also be various life events detached from missions themselves, won't there?

I just wanted to quickly express my gratitude to Ranli for this opportunity. It was actually a conversation with him on Discord about 3D assets for genitalia (during which he was super kind and patient with the ignorant neophyte that I was) that got me interested in making my own VN. So far, all the artists I've approached work in Daz 3D Iray, using G3/G8 characters - so the art is highly consistent. They're also working with my own model of MC [although one has modified him brilliantly!] I'm open to other styles in future though - since these mission take place within a Holo-Program, I'd be prepared to consider drawn/anime/furry/honeyselect/etc. Could actually be quite fun! π I've not approached any devs who work in substantially different styles yet, though.
