I figure a lot of you will be in the same boat as me tonight - trapped in some sort of lockdown, and unable to ring in the New Year in the traditional manner. [Here in the UK, that means getting drunk with a few close friends and a whole load of strangers 😂]
As the ancient Persians once noted, 'This too shall pass' - and I believe that 2021 will be better than 2020. It's a low bar, TBH. But hope springs eternal, and the fresh green shoots of recovery are already pushing their way through the frozen ground. Soon, most of us will be able to return to our normal lives - or at least start to rebuild them - and for that I give thanks. 🤗
I had hoped to end the year by releasing the update - but sadly that will have to wait for 2021. It's still in quality control, after finding that Sam's dog-tags are sticking through his uniform in around 200-300 images 😬. I now have to go through them and paint the dog-tags out by hand... a final blow from the malevolent spirit of 2020 😂 I've included a pic from the update as the HNY card image... a little teaser of what is to come.
Wherever you are, I shall be raising a glass and thinking of you all as the clock strikes midnight in the UK. You have been the highlight of my year, and I look forward to seeing you in the next.
