My First Dev Diary!
🕑 Added 2018-12-29 00:17:57 +0000 UTCWell! The last few weeks have been crazy... A first release, three minor updates, and an Xmas movie takes its toll! But it's been more than worth it when I look at the how well the game has been received – especially when I count in the brilliant feedback you guys have given me. (More please!)
One of those ideas – from the good Captain Swiftnissity – was that I start a dev-diary to keep you all up to date with what I'm up to. Never one to resist an opportunity to talk about myself – here goes!
Updates:
I'm sure that you're all eager to know what you can expect over the next series of updates...
The v0.1b(definitive) mini-update will be released around New Year's. So that you're all prepared, this is just going to be a fix of the current version – a few debugs here and there, changes to the credits screen, and the removal of anything Christmassy. There will be no new content in this one, I'm afraid (although I will be tweaking the kink system to prepare for the future).
But worry not! The v.0.2.1a major-update will be along later in January – and that's got loads of new content! I'm not gonna give away any big spoilers yet – but I will let you know my (very rough) progress report:
Do Computers Dream of Electric Cocks?:

Drilled Sergeant (part 1):

So as you can see, lot's of work for me! As usual, once v.0.2.1a goes live, I'll start filling in extras like fantasies and flashbacks in the mini-updates (including a cute little propaganda 'film' about the origins of SpaceCorps, for those that share my love of world-building).
The Patreon Crew!:
Of course, the game isn't the only reason that you've been kind enough to support me! I'll also be continuing to post cookies, teasers and special pics on Patreon. The Favourite Cadet poll has gone just brilliantly so far (as I speak, Sam and MC are neck and neck!) so I'll be doing more polls to find out what you guys like to see. That will include a chance to vote on a new haircut for MC, and my first Command Deck poll for the Captains!
I'll also be starting a new series of posts (for ranks Sergeant and above) called Xenobiology 101 in January – introducing you to some of the aliens, planets and civilisations that make up the SpaceCorps universe. Usually naked aliens and civilisations!I'm really excited about this one - it includes stuff I've been working on and thinking about for years, and never thought I would get to share.
And Captains! Look out for the upcoming Captain's Raffle to name the Ship's Computer and her male variant! (Coming up before the New Year).
Moaning! :
After all this relentless positivity, I thought I'd also share a few aches and pains. Xmas was great, but it lost me almost whole week of dev time... (Labz has been sleeping on a fold-up at his parent's house - hardly the ideal place for creating erotic art and games).
The upshot of that is that I won't be able to introduce the male version of the Ship's Computer in the January update... which sucks, because I'm all about the choice. Plus, he's my new favourite character!
I've also had a bit of a quandary when it comes to what to post up on Patreon. You'll have noticed that everything so far has been straight porn... and I don't want to under-serve my M/M leaning crewmates. Equally, I'm conscious that most straight crewmates won't want to see a lot of cocks dropping into their email! 😱🍆
Unfortunately, Patreon doesn't have a kink system like SpaceCorps... (come on guys, learn from the best!) I'm currently thinking that an acceptable way would be to add M/M content as attachments – although it's neither elegant or user-friendly. I'd particularly appreciate any advice and suggestions you have on this – just let me know in the comments below, or message me privately.

Right – I'd wanted to talk about my inspirations (and some of the references/Easter Eggs scattered through the game) – but I've already gone full tl;dr! Next time, perhaps?

You're probably right... I'll do a poll in January to see how solo males go down. 🤞

I've never understood how straight guys can be so squeamish around cock when they have one of their own... I'd be fine with M/M stuff as attachments but I think if it's solo male then it might not be needed. I reckon that the straight guys who've decided to support you probably aren't scared of seeing some cock. Could it be time for another poll?

Yay! You got the dev diary up! January can't get here fast enough, I want that update and 'propaganda film'~ Could we get a teaser post for Mr Computer? (Perhaps after 0.1b). You got me curious about him now. I'm fine with attachments for M/M content. The fact that your including it at all is what matters :)
