Kanbutsu Manga Recreation
🕑 Added 2023-05-01 17:00:06 +0000 UTCSo I just want to mention that I spent almost an hour working on getting the part to the right of the first page 1:1 to the original manga and then my PC crashed before I could save (TIP: save and save often.) so I'm pretty upset about that.
Anyway, here's my recreation of the first page of Kanbutsu's "untitled ryona manga". I love the original about as much as you can love a manga about killing young kunoichi so this is a pretty big passion project for me. Most of the page layouts will be based on the 2nd (more complete[?]) version of the manga, but I'll be borrowing panels and ideas from the 1st version that I feel were more appealing to the senses. I can't promise it'll be finished in a timely fashion, since each panel is its own individual scene, but I can promise that it'll be done with love and care.
Also, I'm hand-translating the manga now that I'm more confident in my Japanese. Hopefully the story will flow better that way. Let me know what you think!

There's certainly a lot left to interpretation in those last few panels. I'll try and recreate them in a way that's respectful to the original work!

Holy shit! This is gonna be good. I agree with mixing the 1st and 2nd version and maybe even with adding in some other panels. For the last few girls, the paneling itself was probably still in the refinement phase by the original author. Personally I think adapting it to 3D implies some transformative editing since the medium is different. I am hyped.
