🕑 Added 2021-08-09 00:47:09 +0000 UTCIt's with a heavy heart that I finally am making this post... but as of right now, I will no longer be making VRChat worlds. I simply cannot do this anymore.
Almost every day for the past month and a half, I've spend 7-10 hours/day trying and trying and trying to make these fucking things work. But I give up. I don't know why, but sometime over a year ago, this has just become technically impossible for me. I'll spend countless hours working on a world, only for it to break 3/4 of the way through, or when I go to upload it. And no matter how many hours I spend scouring forums and asking questions, I can never get anything to work properly without breaking everything. And with every VRChat update, worlds, triggers, animations, rides, and portals just repeatedly break.
This has gone from an activity of immense enjoyment and satisfaction to nothing but frustration, extreme misery, and neverending depression from the thousands of lost hours that i'll never get back. I've said in the past, when voicing these same frustrations, that I would try to balance making the VRChat worlds with my true passion of making VR animations, but that's proven to be impossible, given that making a vrchat world takes about 20x as long to make as an animation, and even then necessitates major sacrifices of quality. And even when they do work, they break whenever VRChat has an update. I just can't do it anymore. I won't.
For the sake of my own mental health, I can no longer make any compromises. I'm going to do what I've always dreamed of doing - make VR animations. I've lost too many thousands of hours trying to make the worlds while putting off my true goals, in an effort to appease patrons who came for the vrchat worlds. I can honestly say that when I began making VRChat worlds, it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. I had no idea the amount of headaches that would accompany such an endeavor.
The next biggest mistake was making all my past 5 years work on sets and clips for only $1 each, at the recommendation of a patron. Which seemed like a great idea, but only wound up reducing my income by 95%. Of course with my luck, immediately after I did that, the shit hit the fan IRL, and with major computer problems I was stopped from doing anything for a few months. Doubling down and working on VRchat worlds to try to compensate only ended in more misery, as it's become incredibly difficult to do that anymore. So I'm done trying.
I WILL be posting much more from now on, because I know without the headache of VRChat, I CAN make the VR gts content that I want to make - in both greater quality and quantity, complete with dialogue, sound FX, special FX, action, etc. VR animations, VR image sets, Non-VR animations, Non-VR image sets, and comics, etc. I am very sorry to everyone who has been patiently waiting for new worlds. But I just can't. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my patrons, supporting me, and helping to make some of these fantasies into virtual realities. I hope some of you who were here for the worlds, stick around for what I release. But I understand if you don't.

I got to see those worlds today via virtual desk top on my quest 2 and let me just say I'm amazed on the effort. It's very hard to find quality content and I was very amazed at what you've done. I understand that it's taken a toll on you as well. Mental health is important. Though I joined today I will continue to support. The world's you have right now are well enough. Btw that jetpack you added in the club was fun lol. Seriously had a blast messing around with it

Damn man I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t been working out for you. I’ll still be sticking around because I love me some VR GTS action, so I’ll happily look forward to your works! If it’s any consolation this is even more incentive for me to stick around because my Oculus Link keeps dying

Hey, that's awesome to hear! The more people creating VR content, the better. Lately I've been putting a lot of thought into putting together some tutorials to share what I've learned over these years, to help anyone getting started with tips and walk-throughs regarding creating GTS VR stuff, what Unity assets are essential, etc. Particularly, I think some tutorials are needed to show people how to get Daz characters working in Unity - which is something that's pretty tricky, with a severe current lack of tutorials in that area - hence it took me a LONG time to finally figure out through trial and error. Thank you very much for the encouragement :)

You're the best <3 After making this post, I honestly feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and for the first time in a while, I'm feeling really excited again :) I can feel the new chapter beginning. And your request WILL BE done this month, along with another patron Ed's - been working on both non-stop throughout July, but didn't want to share any sneak peeks without the certainty of the worlds coming to fruition or not. And yes, the mocap - THAT'S some upcoming fun for sure! Thank you SO much for your care and support!

I was here for the worlds, but you inspired me to get into making my own (personal) VR content. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make without the pressure of VRChat in the way. :)

No matter what I'll always support you and your fantastic work, even if things tend to break beyond your control. I'm so sorry things panned out the way they did in regards to VRchat but this is looking like a refreshing new chapter for you and this patreon. Definitely interested in seeing what these animations entail with the mocap suit and gloves, sounds super intriguing!

on a lighter note, I have been creating TONS of animations with my mocap suit and gloves. In the near future, I will be providing these animations that can easily be put on any humanoid character in Unity, for those who wish to use them on their own characters. Also, if you have recommendation for animations that you'd like to have for your own characters, let me know. I'd be happy to make them and provide them to patrons.
