As for Sue Ellen not taking the job, I can kinda understand it. She's only 17 and college is about more than getting a job; it's a time where you can make friends, learn about who you are, and what you want. Sure, she had the job, but going to college would give her the opportunity to learn all the things she lied about on the resume. No job can replace that type of experience. You should also check out the 80s movie called Adventures in Babysitting it’s very very similar to this movie and also has the guy that plays the oldest brother.
