Fiona wasn't an ogre to begin. She was a girl.. The curse was that she would turn into an ogre at night. She became an ogre in the end because the curse was with love's true kiss, she would take love's true form. So she took Shrek's form.

The beginning song is "All Star" By: Smash Mouth. This song came out in 1999.
