some Animation vs. Smash Bros Behind the Scenes
🕑 Added 2020-10-05 18:11:20 +0000 UTCrecognize those waterfalls? it's the background behind the battlefield stage. not that easy to recreate, but not too hard. I recorded some footage of a training mode session using that stage, with the camera set to fixed, and took a still image of the background which is accessible in the custom stage builder and used that to mask out the floating stage that the characters fight on. we'll bring this 2D video into Blender and set it as the background, and put the floating stage in front of it, and put the characters (including the stick figures) on that stage.
next you'll see i was able to extract the dust clouds from the game by using the stage with a green background. it's the perfect green screen.

Holy smokes, I didn't know you were making Animation vs. Smash Bros! That's super epic, I'm excited to see how it'll turn out! Take your time with it, of course. Don't wanna rush things too much, after all!
