With the Poetry Book/Reactions Tier you’ll not only get full access to all my reactions, but you’ll receive an early copy of my second book of poetry “A Fever in Summer” which will be available on Amazon later this year. If you like what I’m doing on this channel and want to know more about me, this book is for you.
This is a special stand alone tier available from April 24th to May 31st so feel free to downgrade to another tier of your choice after purchasing😄
Book Description:
A Fever in Summer is a book of poetry and prose that takes readers on a journey for truth. This book highlights the experiences of Brandon Lee Tom as he navigates the gritty and oftentimes lonely city of Los Angeles as a gay man of color. Never knowing his father, Brandon finds himself searching for identity in a world that is resistant to change. He finds solace in Grindr and reminisces about the guy down the street who may have been the best sex he’s ever had.
A Fever in Summer captures the anger of Amanda Lovelace’s “The Witch Doesn’t Burn in this One” and the passion and frankness of Nayyirah Waheed’s “Salt”.
Brandon hopes to help to give a voice to anyone who feels different, but especially to those who are lgbtq and of color. Voices who are often unheard and overlooked. This book is blunt in its approach to race and what it’s like to be a young unapologetically gay man of today.
A Fever in Summer is Brandon Lee Tom’s second poetry book, his first book Some Boys Get it Right having been self-published in 2019 and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/some-boys-get-right-Brandon/dp/1070587400/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=brandon+lee+tom&qid=1619713643&sr=8-2

Very cool. 👍🏻 Wish I'd finished my book. I'm terrible at not finishing writing projects.
