Form Responses
🕑 Added 2018-01-28 00:44:43 +0000 UTC If you haven't submitted a response yet and would like to (or would like to update your own) you can go hereThe form is to get a feel of how people feel about the page atm.
I'm gonna also respond to a few questions / statements from the form.
- The big prevailing thing requested is more NSFW. I can promise that's coming. NSFW can sometimes be a little fickle if my mood's been low, and with the colder weather + isolation it's been insanely hard to motivate myself to draw things of that nature, even when I want to. Most of the content from this month, sfw and nsfw both, has been me forcing myself to work.
- A few people wanna see more text post updates, so I'll try to do that (I think I've said that before tbh woops).
- Someone had asked about additional milestone rewards. I've considered it, but it's something I kinda wanna be cautious over. Making request drawings part of rewards seriously screwed with things for me a while back.
- Someone had asked about more heads-up when I plan to stream, which while I would like to, I also don't have anything like a schedule for streams I'm afraid. They are always (and always have been) spontaneous. The best way to find out when I'm live is to follow either my Twitter (@Zedrinbot) or my tumblr (@zedrin_maybe or @zedrin_butts for NSFW), or join the Discord server. That said, if I'm doing a series of streams for something that takes a few days (e.g. for the recent sprint animation) I'll post a notice about it on this page when sharing WIPs, so there's a general expectation of when a stream will be upcoming. Since streams are spontaneous and can be anywhere from weekly to almost daily, I don't want to flood this page with stream announcements, however.
- Additionally I want to stress that the form is for getting feedback about the page and my output / content themes. Someone had commented some critique on animation, which that wasn't the purpose of the form, but I'll still address it--they want to see an improvement to animation, but the suggestions basically boiled down to "do less rigged work / do more detailed stuff" which isn't really an improvement per-say, just more time investment.
A gif I plan to spend 4 hours on is probably only going to have one angle to it, and would not be possible to do or make as dynamic if doing a hand drawn frame-by-frame method, at least not without huge sacrifices in other areas or without changing my plans from a 4-hours worth of animating to 12 or so. If you wanna see more sizable animations from me, with more details, etc., that's fine to mention, but keep in mind that would come paired with a slower output. Animation is honestly something that is harder to critique than people expect, and usually when it comes to feedback I go through a few specific channels of peers who know their stuff.
That said I do personally like working on smaller things as it keeps me from facing burnout, and it's always been a primary goal of mine to learn how to optimize my methods and tools to do more in a shorter amount of time. It lets me play with different techniques and tools that I later incorporate into the actual big stuff.
On that note, the Shantae animation is still on the backburner. Now that I know how to integrate it to flash I can make it semi-interactive when I do finally get around to working on it again, but for the time being it's too big an undertaking when my motivation is so low.
In line with mentioning streams, though, I do plan on streaming some art and doodles later today at https://picarto.tv/Zedrin. Maybe in like an hour or two from posting this.
EDIT: I guess I'll also use this to respond to a few other queries that come up.
- A few others have said they wanna see more sketchdumps and doodles. Plan on it!
- Someone had asked about an easier way to read the PV02 comic. There is! https://www.pv02comic.com/ This site is mobile friendly and is 100% just the comic updates, arranged chronologically. (There is also tumblr but it's more difficult to search posts chronologically there, especially on mobile.)

I can't say that I have any real complaints or desires. Work has been hectic for me lately and seeing your updates in my e-mail have been enough satisfaction for me, as they have always had this consistent level of interesting content. I'm just hoping that when I finish closing in on my $100 milestone, the one time offer doesn't vaporize by the time I get there. That would suuck XD
